A fully space-themed alternative portfolio built entirely with Claude as a creative experiment — exploring how far AI can push interactive UI design with orbiting planets, star fields, scroll animations and a working Space Invaders game.
As a UX/UI designer, I was curious how far I could push Claude as a creative collaborator — not just for utility tasks, but for building something visually ambitious from scratch. The brief I gave myself: build a fully space-themed alternative portfolio with rich interactivity, without writing a single line of code myself.
The result is a dark, immersive portfolio with orbiting planets, an animated star field, scroll-triggered animations and three fictional project case studies — all topped off with a fully playable Space Invaders game.

Claude is a remarkably capable creative collaborator. Given clear direction and a strong visual brief, it can produce cohesive, interactive UI that goes well beyond simple layouts. The limitations show up in complex state management and fine-grained animation timing — but for concept exploration and rapid prototyping, the output is impressive.
This experiment also confirmed something I suspected: the designer's eye is still essential. Knowing what to ask for, how to iterate, and when to push harder is what separates a generic AI output from something that actually feels designed.
